Altec...... These are Pre-GPA.

what speaker is inside these cabinets? I have looked for info and all I can find are pdf's which my computer blocks. Maybe we should have a group buy?????

Even though they're pre GPA, i think Bill had much to do with the engine. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks Bowtie! that is a very interesting configuration? Compared to a 604 how would these sound? and is there a problem with time alignment?

No expert or personal experience here, but i think correct time alignment(as close as physically possible) was one of the prime design goals in the engine.

I'm guessing their sound is very coherent, with huge dynamic ability. I'm sure that clean, very high SPL's is where they excel, and they probably really need a truck load of LF elements to round out the bottom for most music.
